Worried About Your Wedding Guests? Don't be

It is not your job to ensure that every single guest at your wedding has the most awesome day of their lives.

You might think that it is, but it isn’t.

Giving 150 people of all ages, shapes and sizes a perfect day is a task that extends far past the powers of that lever arch file you covered in clippings from wedding magazines.

Your wedding guests are special (and I mean that in a nice way).

Let’s face it, what other situation in life could you possibly imagine having this exact same bunch of individuals together in the same room?

When it comes to your wedding day, you can’t be like that kid in school giving away sweets so that everyone will be his friend.

You can’t pin YOUR happiness on whether or not your wedding guests enjoyed the 13-hour long service or approved of your choice of serving a “rare” chicken dish.

As a bride, you have to be OK with the idea that someone will not totally enjoy themselves at your wedding.

That’s OK. Remember…

It’s not your job.

What IS your job is to promise to bear them in mind when planning your wedding – to feed them and to give them a space to sit down while the DJ blasts them with cheesy 80s disco music as they try and prevent Nana choking on a profiterole.

Do that, and you’ve done enough.
