Darwen Magician – Wedding Magic at the Whitehall Hotel
A new venue for me. In fact, a new town too. I’ve never performed as a wedding magician in Darwen before, so I had no idea what to expect.
The Whitehall hotel is set off from the main road, just enough to make you forget that the hotel is just off the main road. It’s a lovely venue and a great space to perform in.
Today, I was performing as a Darwen wedding magician for Laura and Tom. They wanted me to keep their guests happy after the ceremony and before the wedding breakfast.
FYI, if you’re getting married, this is a fabulous time to have a wedding magician perform. It’s a “lull” moment that a lot of brides worry about.
Think about it, you’ve just become man and wife and now you want to relax, enjoy the feeling and spend time posing for those photos.
You’ve spent years waiting for this moment…
…the last thing you need is to start worrying about your guests getting bored and restless.
Or worse, Uncle Dave stepping in with his repertoire of rude jokes, “to help break the ice“…
Wedding magicians are a great way to beat the boredom for your guests, give you two chance to relax and enjoy your day and also prevent any civil proceedings against your Uncle Dave.
Let me do that hard work for you.
Wedding magicians also come in handy when you need to cover for a delay…
…which happened today.
The wedding party were over an hour late arriving at the hotel.
There’s always a moment, when a couple are a little late that you begin to think, “did the wedding happen? Did one of them run off, get a fake passport and emigrate to Botswana?“*
Thankfully, they didn’t. They were just late.
No biggie. I don’t know why I’m so surprised. No wedding in the history of time has EVER run on time!
(and if you’re sat there thinking, “MY wedding will be different…“, I’ve got news for you. It won’t be.)
Anyway, late or not, it was a great day. I got to entertain the kids and parents in the lovely lounges at the hotel. It really is a fabulous venue. Well worth a look if you’re on the lookout for a fabulous wedding venue in Darwen.
*I only thought about this 384 times when planning my own wedding.
